Dear Gym Families,

It is with a full and tender heart that we write this letter.

After much reflection and many long conversations, we have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Manhattan Gymnastics Academy on March 31, 2026.

This space has meant more to us than a business.  It has been a place of growth, courage, laughter, scraped knees, first cartwheels, and big celebrations.  It has been so much for so many families—and for us, it has carried deep personal meaning.

As many of you know, this gym continued after a great loss in the family in 2015, Jeryka Lawrence, Owner and Coach of Manhattan Gymnastics Academy from 2012-2015.  Her husband, Kyle made the decision to keep the gym going in her honor and spirit.  For the past 11 years, he has done everything he could to preserve what she built and to serve this community with care and dedication.  That journey has been one of love, resilience, and commitment.

The past few years, especially since COVID, have brought challenges that we simply haven’t been able to fully recover from. While this decision has not come easily, it is the one that feels most honest and responsible at this time.

What we want you to know—above all—is how grateful we are.

Thank you for trusting us with your children.
Thank you for showing up week after week.
Thank you for cheering from the sidelines, volunteering, supporting our coaches, and being part of this community.

Your families are the reason this gym existed for as long as it did, and the memories made here will always matter.

We are endlessly proud of every gymnast who passed through these doors, whether they stayed for a season or for years. The strength, confidence, and joy they built here goes far beyond the mats.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this chapter with us. We will carry this community with us always.
